How to Submit a Timesheet
In Clockdiary, timesheet submission is the process where any user, be it an Employee, Manager, Admin, or Owner can record their work hours against assigned projects and submit them for approval. This ensures accurate billing, payroll, and productivity tracking.
Who Can Submit a Timesheet?
Clockdiary supports timesheet submissions by all user roles:
User (Employee)
Manager
Admin
Owner
Each user can log their own time, but cannot approve their own timesheet. Approvals are handled by designated Managers/Admins/Owners.
Step-by-Step: How to Submit a Timesheet
Step 1: Open the Timesheet Section
Log in to your Clockdiary account.
From the left-hand menu, click Timesheet.
Step 2: Enter Project Hours
Select the project you worked on.
Choose the relevant date(s).
Enter the number of hours spent on each day.
Add a note describing the task or progress.
Step 3: Submit for Approval
Click on Submit for Approval.
Confirm the action.
Timesheet status will change to Pending.
Withdrawing a Timesheet
You can withdraw a timesheet if it hasn’t been approved yet.
To withdraw:
Go to Timesheet.
Find the entry with Pending status.
Click Withdraw.
Make edits and resubmit when ready.
